We are going to Napa for the first time and we are staying at the Villagio September 12th thru the 16th. Celebrating a 50th birthday with the family everyone is of legal drinking age, any recommendations of wineries we must see. So many it is overwhelming. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Glad to help, and glad you found us on the web!
Overwhelming is right. Many choices in Napa and most of them are good. I am going to direct you back to our website where we have some pre-packaged tours set up with a map and such. Your base will be in Yountville at the Villagio Inn & Spa which is in the heart of it all. (Judging by the looks of the resort I am not sure you will make it off the property!) If you do get out you are close by Domaine Chandon which is certainly worth the stop. You may want to have dinner or check out their "happy hour" in the
evening. It is a large impressive place.
For other choices here is the link to the NAPA page with the Napa Valley Wine Tours in blue adjacent to the photograph. Here are three tours ready to go. Another way to select wineries is go to the ADVANCED SEARCH feature on the right hand side of any page and select your wineries by amenities, tasting fees (high in Napa-$10+ per person) wine types and even if they are dog friendly. When the CWA search engine gives you your results click on the winery box and go to the detailed winery profile. On every winery profile page there is a button to save to your itinerary and that way you can create a tour and print out a map.
There is lots to do and play with on our site. Enjoy your trip and hope this was helpful.
