About This Winery
+ More
The Mediterranean-style stone winery stands high on a rocky knoll above the Silverado Trail in the heart of the Stags Leap District. The winery provides visitors with some of the best views and one of the most extensive tasting and touring options in the valley.
The richly appointed tasting center has a Mediterranean ambiance, tall arched windows, lofty wood beamed ceilings and a warm fireplace creating a elegant tasting environment. Take a step out on to their cobblestone terrace with a glass wine and marvel at the sweeping views of the valley below.
The touring and tasting opportunities at Silverado are extensive. At their tasting bar enjoy the Estate and Premier Tastings. Or for a treat experience their Library Tasting or the Saddleback Vineyard program limited to just six people. This tour includes barrel tasting and canapés.
There are also public tours of the winery at 10:30 and 2:30 daily by appointment. Special private tours are available with a tasting in the barrel cellar, the Silverado Room, the outdoor upper terrace or other private areas.
Silverado’s winemaking philosophy is rooted in the vineyards of the Napa Valley, whether it is Chardonnay grown in Carneros, or Stags Leap District Cabernet Sauvignon. They focus their wine-making on estate, Bordeaux Style wines producing Chardonnays, Sauvignon Blanc, Merlot, Sangiovese, a late harvest Viognier and their prized Cabernet Sauvignon.
