About This Winery
+ More
Earning a Harvard degree as a Master Landscape Architect, Richard Berridge is a master of his craft. Richard began his career in the wine industry back in 1976 as one of the original founders of Duckhorn Wine. He continues to follow his passion with his new brands, Drystone of New Zealand and his private label, Berridge, of Northern California. From the cliffs of New Zealand to the mountaintops and coastal regions of Northern California, Berridge Wine Company is born. Richard Berridge believes great wine begins from within the soils of our earth. Next is the location of those soils, how the vines are planted and finally how they are nurtured dictates how the wine will taste.
Berridge Wine Company is sourced from three vineyards: Manchester Ridge Vineyards in Mendocino County, who supply cool maritime climate grapes, Van Der Kamp Vineyards on Sonoma Mountain, whose volcanic soils pack a powerful selection of Pinot Noirs, and last from New Zealand is Gibbston Valley Vineyard, which is located in the cool-climate of Central Otago. From this diverse selection of suppliers, Berridge Wine Company crafts excellent wines, welcoming visitors to come and taste their creations.
