About This Winery
+ More
Livingston Moffett Wines is located in the heart of the Howell Mountain Appellation. This family-run winery uses a hands on approach to farming, winemaking, and sales to produce finely crafted wines. Trent Moffett is a second-generation vintner and carefully selects grapes from vineyards around the Napa Valley as well as from his family’s vineyard to make top-notch wine.
Lured by its small town character and lovely setting, the Moffetts came to St. Helena in 1976 to raise a family of six children. Little did they know, the land they purchased happened to be located on the Rutherford Bench- Napa’s prized Cabernet growing district, just beckoning them to get into the wine business. The property included five acres planted with old, dry-farmed Cabernet Sauvignon vines. Framing the view of the valley from the 1868 farmhouse were the stonewalls of an abandoned winery built in 1883. This was the perfect setting to begin winemaking.
Today, the Livingston Moffett winery continues to specialize in Cabernet wines. Their wines have earned “big league” and “top echelon” accolades in national wine reviews. This historic, small family winery is open for tours and tastings by appointment only.
