The Lodi wine region is situated east of San Francisco and south of the Sacramento River Delta and is influenced by its proximity to the cool waters of the San Francisco Bay and the towering Sierra Nevada Mountains to the east. When temperatures rise in the central valley, a cool breeze is pulled inland across the Lodi region dropping temperatures from their summer daytime highs of over ninety degrees to the mid-fifty’s at night. Winters are cool and damp averaging seventeen inches of rain annually. The best time to visit the area is in the spring and fall when the weather is moderate.
