Tres Sabores Winery

A small, homely ranch sits in the middle of the green hills around St. Helena. At Tres Sabores winery you will find friendly turkeys, organic gardens and pomegranate cultivars as rich and as inviting as the terrain. You will also find a bustling vineyard where Julie Johnson, the owner of Tres Sabores Winery, grows certified organic grapes in the special Rutherford dust of the area to create their award-winning wines. The small tasting room is lined with framed pictures and wooden tables, where you can enjoy the company of her two golden retrievers and the view of the Mayacamas mountains. The woodland habitats of the mountains give you a soothing array of bird song to listen to as you sip and enjoy the casual atmosphere of home.

Most people will want to sample their wines under the olive trees, where bright sunshine and the view of Zin and Cab vineyards give them a chance to marvel at natural beauty. You can also get a tour of the cave, the pond and the organic gardens while you are there. Fittingly for such a comfortable winery, children can come here to learn about grape production and draw on the crush pad while parents relax.
