A brief history of Keever Vineyards and winery.
Call it a second youth if you like. Bill and Olga Keever decided to spend their retirement years making wine with their family. They bought 6 and a half acres in a spot near Yountville in the Mayacamas. Then they immersed themselves in the joys of viticulture. They produce small runs of wine, but you can be sure that every barrel is premium. What is the best way to experience the wine? By accepting the Keever’s hospitality.

You will have to call for an appointment, but once you get in, you’re in for a world-class experience. You will sit in their cozy and intimate tasting room. From the wide bay windows, you can enjoy the views of Stagg’s Leap rock formation, Atlas Peak, Wappo Hill, and the Yountville valley floor. When you have had your fill of this stunning view, their daughter will take you around the vineyards. They will give the full tour of the rocky hills and the cozy wine cave. Much of their land they have left in a pristine state. The oak woodlands have stayed from the ancient past and tower over the serried lines of grapevines. What kind of wine will you enjoy at Keever Vineyards
Keever produces several different Bordeaux style blends. The case counts are very low and some vintages are measured by the number of bottles produced! They also produce a white wine (Sauvignon Blanc).
