It is no wonder then that the Manzoni family has set up their estate vineyards here. The land is the right mix of sun, slope, and soil to create the intense flavors the Manzoni Estate prides itself in.

If you need to experience your wine, rather than drink it, you are in luck. The estate has opened 2 tasting rooms. One is a sweet little room on River Road in Soledad, California, where you can taste only on the weekends. The other is a cheerful and elegantly furnished place in the Paseo Courtyard in Carmel where you can sample their products every day. The room in Carmel has a dark wood bar and bright yellow walls that fairly sing old California. You’ll relax in classic wooden chairs while admiring the paintings of local artists. All you have to do is pass through the maroon door frames under the classic hanging sign. The room is intimate and atmospheric, a must-stop for any wine lover in Carmel.

This winery has been awarded for their top-flight Pinot Noir, but you can taste some great whites here also. Manzoni Estate produces Chardonnay and Pinot Gris wines you must try on your tasting. They also produce a Syrah if you need to mix it up a little.
