About This Winery
+ More
Babcock Vineyards and its newly completed winery, sit high on a hill overlooking the Santa Rita Valley. The tasting room is situated within the production facility, amid all the hubbub of the winemaking. The small and simple tasting area lies adjacent to the grape-receiving equipment, right next door to the barrel room. A large wooden plank placed over two oak barrels serves as a tasting bar.
A modest outside courtyard is available for tasting and picnicking. There are also two picnic tables well-situated on a grassy knoll, with a view of the valley and vineyards. Wines produced from their estate vineyards include Pinot Grigio, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc. Wines made from other Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo County vineyards include Syrah, Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz and Bordeaux blends.
