About This Winery
+ More
Revana Family Vineyard is a small vineyard and exclusive winery estate focused on producing world-class Cabernet Sauvignon. The winery’s founder,
Dr. Madaiah Revana, had a dream to grow exceptional-quality grapes and produce one extraordinary wine from each vintage.
In 1997, while visiting the Napa Valley, Dr. Revana discovered a small nine-acre parcel of prime vineyard land just north of the town of St. Helena and planted his vineyard. There are eight separate blocks totaling nine acres, with five blocks planted in Cabernet Sauvignon clones, one block of Cabernet Franc and two blocks of Petit Verdot. The blocks have different soil characteristics and are planted with grape clones and rootstocks matched to the soil. They are farmed and vinified separately, then expertly blended to create the wines.
The tasting room is back along the western side of the new winery building, and has a small courtyard and fountain in front. There is a lovely garden surrounded by olive trees adjacent to the tasting room. Inside, past the tall Honduran mahogany doors, is an elegant room with a stylish fireplace, walls hung with original artwork, hardwood floors and a table that seats up to eight people. To sample the handmade wine at Revana you must have an appointment.
