Gregory Graziano follows his family’s winemaking and grape-growing history by producing over 35 varietal wines, including some exotic Italian varietals.
The storefront tasting room in downtown Hopland is housed in a cozy, clean space with hardwood floors and windows that look out onto the porch and street. They will allow you to taste not only their Pinot and Zin, but also the crisp Arneis, the fruity Dolcetto, and even the spicy Peppolino.
Gregory Graziano’s grandfather first planted vineyards in Mendocino County in 1918. During Prohibition, the family depended on bootlegging wine and selling grapes to home winemakers. Today the winemaker is known as a master blender of wines and produces under four different labels: Saint Gregory is home to their Burgundian wines, most notably Pinot Noir. Monte Volpe focuses on the classic red varieties of Tuscany – Primo Rosso, Sangiovese, Tocai Friulano, Pinot Grigio, and Montepulciano. Enotria is dedicated to the wines of Piedmonte – Arneis, Barbera, Moscato, and Nebbiolo. The Graziano label includes the bold red wines of Zinfandel and Petite Sirah.
