Twin Pine Casino & hotel is the only wine themed casino in the United States. Wine vats and barrels surround the gaming areas. There is a special wine tasting bar near the entrance that lets visitors try a number of wines from Napa, Sonoma, Mendocino and Lake County wineries. The wines change regularly and give the visitor an opportunity to experience a number of brands and wine making styles.

The gift shop is an attractive space adjacent to the tasting bar and features Native American jewelry, wine accessories, and hard to find unique gift items. There is a wonderful restaurant and a casual lounge on the property. Look for future wine events including meet the winemaker nights and winemaker dinners.

Twin Pine Casino & Hotel, located in Middletown – the northern gateway to Napa Valley – is owned and operated by the Middletown Rancheria Band of Pomo Indians. The casino is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, offering a wide variety of coin drop and ticket in/out slot machines with a well-rounded mixture of penny, nickel, quarter, one-dollar and five-dollar games, multi-denomination and progressive games.

Also available are original-style live action Table Games featuring Blackjack and Poker. Check out the web site for special promotions and frequent cash drawings. Twin Pine’s 60-room hotel,  features luxury accommodations at a great value. Take the scenic 17 mile drive north of Calistoga for some nightlife in wine country.

This Casino is a surprise and delight for anyone who enters it doors. What an oasis! It has everything you need to spend an entire week end. The casino its self was tastefully designed. The restaurant serves a range of dishes for every budget. You can dine in the elegant restaurant or casually in the neighboring lounge. They have entertainment in the lounge as well...guess I missed "Sinbad" a couple of weeks ago. The hotel was wonderful, new, roomy, and reasonably priced. Of course my favorite spot was the tasting bar and gift shop. They featured several wines to choose from with most of them being Lake County wines and the staff were so friendly and willing to go the extra mile. The gift shop was elegant with lots of entertaining gifts many things that I haven't seen in other wine tasting gift shops.
Take the time to get away for a day or a weekend its well worth the trip.

It was nice going to a place where you can taste more than one wine brand. We got to taste from five wineries that we probably would never find on our own. Good stuff and the casino looked like fun.
