Harney’s estate grown fruit is made into small lots of handcrafted wines that bring out the best flavors Lodi Wine Country.

In 1907, long before it was fashionable to go wine tasting, Harney ancestors planted their first vineyard just east of Lodi, along rural Harney Lane. In time the family home was built, which would bear witness to the lives of five generations of grape growers intent on perfecting their farming skills.

The new attractive tasting room exudes the love, laughter, and family tradition of Harney Lane Winery and the Harney family.

In addition to Zinfandel and Primitivo the winery produces, Petite Sirah, Tempranillo, Chardonnay, a dry rose and Albarino.

I wanted to visit this winery after reading in the CWA September magazine that they were offering a Harvest Tour this Labor Day weekend. I emailed the winery just to let them know we were coming. Jorja emailed back saying that they were expecting us. Kathy greeted us & she even knew my name! Kathy showed us around the vineyard growing Primitivo & Albarino, the wine cellar, & the beautiful garden shaded by large trees planted by Kathy's husbands' great grandfather. The tasting room is large & spacious with numerous items for sale. Everything seems to be its' place, very welcoming, & lovely architecture. We loved all the wines we tasted but special mention goes to the Albarino, Lodi Zinfandel, & who can forget their delicious port. I highly recommend going to Harney Lane...you will not be disappointed :))
