About This Winery
+ More
Reverie Winery, located near Calistoga, California, is one of Napa Valley’s smallest estate wineries. The vineyard is nestled on a steep, 40-acre parcel high up in the Diamond Mountain appellation. It was once one property but is now divided up into three vineyards – Reverie, Diamond Creek, and Von Strasser.
Norman Kiken is the owner and winemaker. He purchased the property in 1993 and produces ultra-premium Bordeaux style varietal blends. He and his family built a home on the top their property, and at the bottom, an office and winery. The winery is a reflection of the 125-year-old barn originally found on the property. Reverie wines are estate grown, produced, and bottled. They handcraft unique varietals like Barbera, Tempranillo, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot, and Roussanne. Like most of Napa Valley, they are primarily a Cabernet Sauvignon producer.
A Reverie wine tour is the highlight of the winery and the staff takes great pride in showing guest a truly spectacular vineyard. As soon as guests arrive at Reverie, they are greeted by a friendly tour guide and a full wine glass. Whilst being shown about the property, guests get to taste wines along the way. This is a very memorable wine tour in which the guides love to inform and joke with their guests about winemaking.
After tasting delicious wines at every stop along the way, guests will step inside Reverie’s naturally occurring phenomenon, a perfect ring of redwood trees, in which people have the same reoccurring response: “Wow!”
Reverie is known as one of the best wineries to visit in the Napa Valley because of the personalities of their tour guides, a unique setting tasting in a circle of redwood groves, and finale at their picturesque picnic tables.
