Hotel Le Mars
One of the best luxury hotels in Healdsburg, the Hotel Le Mars is tastefully European in appearance and hospitality. The 16 rooms are filled with antique furnishings from the 17th and 18th centuries. Craving old-world sophistication during your wine country tours, this is the place for you.
The hotel does a nice job of meeting the needs of wine country tourists. River Belle Inn
The River Belle Inn is an old painted lady restored to a beautiful example of California's late 19th-century architectural style. Previously inhabited by George La Tour and Giuseppe Simi in the early days of Sonoma, the River Belle today welcomes guests with a dozen beautiful garden and river suites. This is one of the best Healdsburg hotels for anyone longing to connect with Sonoma's rich history. We know you are here for the world-class wine, but get to know more about the history and you'll appreciate Healdsburg even more!
The many amenities offered by the River Belle is another reason we consider this one of the best Healdsburg inns. Organic, locally sourced breakfast is available at your convenience. The kitchen serves up omelets, quiche, crepes, bacon and eggs, and beverages, either in-room, on the covered porch, or along the river. Staff will pack a delightful picnic basket for daytime adventures. As a guest of the River Belle, you get private river access and you can dine by the river in the morning. H2 Hotel
While we aren't big fans of the descriptor eco-chic, we do love this sustainable Healdsburg hotel. The sister property to the Healdsburg Hotel, the H2 was conceived and built with sustainability in mind. We applaud this effort. Many of the better California wineries are focusing on how they can minimize their impact on the planet. It's nice to have a wine country hotel follow suit.
Along with the laudable focus on the environment, we see an equal commitment to designing and building a kick-ass hotel. The H2 doesn't skimp on amenities in their effort to be earth-friendly. They offer guests a beautiful solar heated pool, bikes for exploring Healdsburg, complimentary breakfast and they even have a free yoga class on Sunday mornings. That's the perfect way to shake of the cobwebs from Saturday's tasting tour!
We also like the non-wine-lovers package the H2 Hotel offers. You get special treatment at a local distillery and brewery as part of the package. If you are all about keeping things green the H2 Hotel is one of the best Healdsburg hotels for you.

The Farmhouse Inn
Ok, so technically the Farmhouse Inn isn't in Healdsburg. So how did it end up on our list of the best Healdsburg hotels? Great question. One reason it is on the list is that we have no plans to write a list of great Forestville hotels. Just isn't happening. The other reason is that this is an amazing hotel that's only 12 miles from the center of Healdsburg. The list of accolades the Farmhouse Inn has received is so long they can't fit it on a standard web page.
Let's start with the Michelin starred restaurant. Local ingredients paired with a master chef and an exhaustive wine list is a recipe for success. You can select a three, four or five-course meal that can be expertly paired with wines from California and around the world if you so desire.
The accommodations are pure Sonoma. The mix of the rustic farmhouse design with elegant bedding and top-notch amenities creates a comfortable yet sophisticated environment. This is the perfect place to reflect back on the wines you tasted that day while sitting in front of a roaring fire.
You'll also appreciate the onsite spa and the wine experiences available through the hotel. The Farmhouse Inn has everything you would expect from a luxury Sonoma hotel.
