Changala Winery

Changala Winery is the culmination of a dream for co-owners Jean and Heidi Changala. Both have been involved in the wine industry for a number of years beginning with growing grapes and winemaking at their Templeton home in the 1980’s. Jean worked at Martin Brothers Winery in 1987 and moved to Meridian Vineyards in 1988 where he stayed for 12 years.

Jean and Heidi became co-owners of HMR Winery in Paso Robles in 1997 and ventured out to start the tiny Changala Winery in 2001. During the course of these experiences both Jean and Heidi expanded their knowledge of the industry with technical courses at Cal Poly and UC Davis as well practical experience and support from local growers and winemakers.

Their cozy tasting room is on the west side of Paso Robles just off Vineyard Drive.
