WHile this is not the place to go for a very traditional wine tasting i must say what it lacked in traditionalism it made up by being fun, lively and full of cool people.

Its more of a wine bar meets local park meets trendy meeting spot. I had fun and i got pretty tipsy on a warm afternoon up there.

I would reccomend it more for people looking to have a killer time and have a few glasses of wine, not for the avid wine drinker who like to take tasting notes and spit out the wine.

The tasting area is outside and on weekends. I think they usually have music or at least they did when we were there. You can take a picnic lunch but you have to buy a bottle of wine to go with it. We went on a Groupon so it was reasonable but the tastings there are very pricey, way too much for what you get. $10 for 4 tastings and another $12 if you want the second flight. The wines just aren't worth the money in my opinion. It does well because it is far closer than driving up to the Santa Barbara wine country but there are better, more reasonable tasting rooms and wines on the Ventura County Wine Trail. It was extremely crowded the day we went although that could have been a result of people trying to use their Groupon before it expired. I thought ahead and took our own chairs but they wouldn't let me bring in my little portable table which I thought was pretty lame. Our party ended up balancing our food on our laps and that was after buying two bottles of their wine to drink with our lunch.
