About This Winery
+ More
Storybook Mountain Vineyards has specialized in Zinfandel and Estate Cabernet since 1976. The Zinfandel and Cabernet vines were originally planted in the 1880’s, along the property’s red clay-loam hillsides in the Mayacamas Range at the top of Napa Valley. Storybook Mountain Vineyards is located on the ridges of the range between Napa and Sonoma, high up in altitude. All vines are hand tended and the grapes are certified organic. The wine caves on the property were hand dug in the late 1880’s as well. Now they are over a century old and lined with oak barrels housing the praised wines. The owners’, Jerry and Sigrid Seps, wines are famed for intensity and longevity.
The land and the weather come together in unique ways at Storybook Mountain, the weather always being a slightly different temperature than what it is in the valley below and the rich volcanic soil adding intense flavor to the grapes. These estate grapes are grown organically on this idyllic vineyard with its breathtaking views. Guests visiting the vineyard are invited to take a tour of the wine caves and the hillside vineyards, finishing up in the tasting room to enjoy the Zinfandel and Estate Cabernet.
