About This Winery
+ More
August Briggs Winery is a small boutique winery in Napa Valley dedicated to producing very limited quantities of great wines from carefully selected vineyards across Napa and Sonoma counties. Founder Joe Briggs brings a quarter-century of winemaking knowledge in working with quality grape growers to produce a signature style of balanced wines with intense fruit character. In 2011, Joe and his wife Sally handed over the reigns of their namesake winery to nephew and co-winemaker Jesse Inman along with partners and longtime August Briggs employees Colette Milliman and Matt Gacso.
Together the new team continues the August Briggs tradition of offering an eclectic selection of classic and lesser known varietals sourced from longstanding partner growers. In keeping with Joe’s original vision for the winery, August Briggs offers wines of provenance, not pretense. They take winemaking seriously, in hopes that you will seriously enjoy their wines.
Fruit is sourced from numerous regions including Carneros, Dry Creek, the Russian River, the Sonoma Coast and Napa Valley. Try their “Dijon Clone” Pinot Noir or their limited-release Pinot Meunier.
