About This Winery
+ More
Temecula Valley has a rich history of wine growing, and Avensole Winery is one of the shining examples. This Spanish mission-style winery sits in the middle of a carefully tended lawn. You drive up the hillside and enter through their gate, and you are immediately in some of the prettiest surroundings, with a great view of the valley and emerald waves of vineyards. It’s no wonder they host weddings here. The background is a must for photographers.
There is also a restaurant and marketplace on the grounds. The restaurant is open Monday through Thursday from 11:00 to 4:00, Friday and Saturday from 11:00 to 8:00, and Sundays from 11:00 to 5:00. In true California style, you can eat their French American meals on their terraces. You can also hide out in the shaded Elysium of the vineyard.
Of course, there is also a tasting room terrace. When you sample their 6 flights of wines, you will enjoy not only the fabulous views, but the charming little pond. The outdoor patio features plenty of outdoor seating, graceful white Grecian columns and a relaxed ambiance. Warm, sunny weather makes al fresco dining on this pleasant hill a joy for any visitor.
The name Avensole is from the Italian words ‘avventura,’ which means adventure, and ‘sole,’ meaning the only one. When you come to Avensole, we think you will see this only adventure in wine tasting of its kind. Come and experience it for yourself.
The estate vineyards are some of the oldest in Temecula. They currently grow Cabernet Sauvignon, Muscat Canelli, Zinfandel and Gewurztraminer on their 20 acres.
The winery offers tours of the vineyards and wine facilities. Tours are customized based on your interests. You need to contact the winery in advance to schedule a tour.
