About This Winery
+ More
The family at Black Hand Cellars is a husband and wife team of Tom and Terry Bannish who have created a small family boutique winery creating estate grown Syrah, a white Rhone blend, a red Bordeaux blend and a sweet dessert wine, also made from Syrah.
Their Torie Ranch Vineyard is located on the West Side of San Miguel with nearly three acres planted in the Estrella River and French clones of Syrah. They farm the vineyard by hand, using the latest vineyard practices.
Tom Banish is the winemaker, whose background includes over seven years experience with some of the Central Coast’s most prestigious wineries, including Justin, Treana, and Zenaida.
The Black Hand tasting room is located in the small seaside community of Cambria amongst the galleries, restaurants and unique gift shops. The wines are hand made and rich in texture and flavors. The Cambria Trolley stops right in front of their tasting room.
