About This Winery
+ More
In 1902 Carlo Cardella immigrated from Marlia, a small town in Italy outside of Lucca. He brought with him old world secrets that have been passed on to his children and theirs.
Their philosophy is that wine is an extension of the climate from which the grapes are grown and the soils from which they are rooted. By fusing old world secrets with new world technologies, they believe they are able to make wines that are truly unique and unprecedented in the San Joaquin Valley.
"I truly believe that by taking measures in the vineyard, along with good wine making practices, we can produce superb wines comprable to anywhere else in the world. Myself, along with other winemakers in the Central Valley know that great wines are made in the winery, but start in the vineyard." – Nathan Cardella
