The Cassara family and staff are dedicated to continuing to create superior Pinot Noirs, Syrah, Chardonnay, and Sauvignon Blanc as well as a few distinct “Winemaker Reserve” barrel select wines. The fruit is from nearby Sta. Rita Hills Appellation.

Pinot Noir is their specialty with their flagship Estate Grown Pinot Noir from their mountain vineyard at 880 feet altitude. This wine is complex yet should not be overpowered by any one flavor. Sweetness in many Pinot Noirs is simply the fruit qualities shining through while the wines are allowed to ferment to “dry”.

The tasting room is in Solvang on Mission Drive. The limited production wines are well made and have won a number of prestigious awards.

This winery is kind of off by itself in Buellton on Hwy 246 near where it intersects with the 101. It's really just a storefront but a lady at one of the other wineries suggested we try it for their Chardonnay. We weren't disappointed with the Chard but also really liked their Pinot Noir. Their tasting fee was $5 which is low for the area. The last time I was there, they were also serving cheese to pair with the wine which you don't find that often.

When I was down visiting some friends at the JC in Santa Barbara I went to this winery and I remember it because it was the best Pinot Noir I had tasted. Very Good.
