About This Winery
+ More
The successful winemakers at Michael David, Van Ruiten, and Jessie’s Grove wineries joined forces to help promote Lodi’s budding wine country and opened this very hip and comfortable wine tasting room in downtown Lodi.
The tasting gallery offers wine flights and selections by the glass or bottle, as well as gourmet appetizers. Enjoy a glass or two on the patio seating area out along the bustling downtown sidewalk. Inside is a large attractive space with comfortable black leather bar stools and comfortable couches and bistro tables. Rotating art work produced by local talent is on the brick walls and every Friday evening finds tasters sipping to the unique sounds of talented area musicians.
Jessie’s Grove Winery– Rich in history and flavor, Jessie’s Grove Winery produces premium wines born of vintage vines, with some dating back to the turn of the century. While you visit CELLARDOOR to sample the succulent fruits of their labor, make plans to mosey on over to Jessie’s "Ranch," featuring the winery’s original tasting room, museum, and production facility.
Michael – David Winery- As early farming frontiersmen of the 1860’s, the Phillips family started out growing fruits and vegetables just west of Lodi’s city limits. Right around Prohibition time, they planted grape seedlings sent with strict instructions on "how to not turn the grapes into wine." Thanks to those timely home non-winemaking days, today’s wine lovers can enjoy the delicious "grape juice" that brothers Michael and David Phillips produce. And lucky for us, Phillips Farms continues to plow away at their roadside fruit stand, which offers so much more than just fruit! Visit the charming cafe, bakery and wine tasting room located at 4580 West Highway 12 in Lodi
Van Ruiten’s delectable wines are the result of five decades worth of firm roots planted in the local grape growing industry. At the end of World War II and beginning with a hearty hand shake and hard work, John Van Ruiten Sr. planted a delicious family legacy by settling in Lodi soil. Nowadays, 1000 acres of vines create the fruit which fills every Van Ruiten bottle.
