About This Winery
+ More
For 35 years, Consentino Winery has been making fine wines and giving their guests wonderful tasting experiences. The ivy-covered stone structure next to Mustard’s Grill in Napa revels in its connection to the past and the land. They pride themselves in using sustainable viticulture and improving on their relaxing city tasting room.
This is especially true now that they have added an outdoors tasting room. Last year, the winery installed a patio with a large stone fireplace and a water fountain. A guest can relax in their rustic wicker chairs under umbrellas on the classy flagstone patio.
Their most famous tasting experience isn’t their new outdoor space, however. They opened a room on the second story in 1986 for the elegant Poet’s Loft tasting. Wine Club members can get this special treat by reservation once a year for free, but everyone can revel in the Consentino’s popular red blends with the equally popular wine country h’orderves in the Poet’s Loft when they make an appointment. Here, the spoons sport leaf shaped handles and the tables have little glass mice. The view is pleasant from the second story, and the atmosphere is cozy.
If you want to stay downstairs, you can have a customized private tasting by reservation, or you can drop in and have The Flight tasting either at their new outdoor tasting patio or at their cozily elegant wine bar inside. If you go for the private tasting, you will enjoy the Barrel Room, where they store the wines chilled to the ideal temperature and serve you on a polished wood table. On the whole, this a classic Napa experience for those who love Wine Country.
