Cougar Vineyard and Winery is a enjoyable stop in the Temecula Valley showcasing a number of estate grown Italian varietals along with Sparkling wine and some dessert wines.
The tasting room is right inside the Cougar winery between the barrels and vats. The winery is small and family owned without a lot of the trappings and amenities of the larger wineries in the region. You may actually be greeted by one of the owners in this simple but authentic winery.
The estate grows Sangiovese, Montepulciano, Vermentino, Aglianico, Falanghina, Primitivo, Arneis, Malvasia Bianca, Lambrusca, Negroamaro, Brachetto, Prosecco, Piedirosso and Sagrantino. The wines are well made with care.
Sangio’s Deli, located in the tasting room, is open daily. Enjoy your deli items at one of the our picnic tables surrounded by olive trees overlooking the vineyards. Deli items include gourmet sandwiches, paninis, platters, salads, pizzas, and desserts.

Winemaker Bio:
Making wines for over 20 years started as a hobby in Texas. Learned the craft of wine making by working with several other wine makers plus attending many education sessions through the San Diego Amateur Winemakers and Temecula Wine Growers Association. The winemakers pride themselves in creating all of the wines on-site including the sparkling wines.
