Fontanella Family Winery

Fontanella Family Winery is a modern twist on old Napa. It is a small, family owned and run winery located in the beautiful Mt. Veeder appellation in the Western hills of Napa Valley. The owner/winemaker, Jeff Fontanella, has been making wine in Napa Valley for over 10 years. Fontanella is not only a brand new label, but also a brand new facility. Construction of the winery and tasting room was completed in August 2008. The winery, now in its third year of operation, processes approximately 200 tons of grapes each year for the Fontanella brand and several of Jeff Fontanella’s consulting clients. Fontanella Family Winery produces approximately 2,500 cases annually, consisting of Cabernet Sauvignon, Zinfandel and Chardonnay. The winery and brand are truly a passion for Jeff and Karen and they hope convey their dedication and passion for winemaking in every bottle at Fontanella.

The owners run the tasting room and live on the property as well. Jeff Fontanella will more than likely stop in to give visitors a little education on the winemaking process and explain his philosophy on the art and science of making ultra-premium wines. The tasting room is intimate and upscale with beautiful views of the property. The tasting room has a living room setting that includes a fireplace and couches to fully relax while visitors enjoy casual modern music in the background. Guests can meander outside with a glass of wine to sit and take in the natural beauty of the property and enjoy the oak studded knolls accented by a beautiful pond. The winery and tasting room offers a unique and special experience off the beaten path, a friendly family winery that should not be missed.
