Francis Ford Coppola Winery

It’s hard to know where to begin with the Francis Ford Coppola Winery. The famous director wanted to create a “wine wonderland,” and the end result is a resort where you can rent cabins, swim in pools, take in all sorts of performances, and play games. The fairy land look of the place was inspired by Tivoli Gardens. The clock towers are fronted by colorful trees and lush lawns. At their classy restaurant, called Rustic, they hold 3 tastings, plus give you the chance to try their wine automat. You can sit on a terrace and enjoy the view of the Alexander Valley while pouring yourself samples of wines from a self-serve wine tasting machine. This place is so huge that there is more than one tasting bar. The Gallery Bar is a classic, relaxing spacing and the Main Tasting Bar is a brightly-lit joy for everyone.

Tasting-wise, you can try the First Flight Experience on the Gallery Bar. You can celebrate all that is wonderful about the beautiful Sonoma County with the Sonoma Inclusive Tasting, which showcase the uniqueness of Sonoma County wines with the Francis Ford Coppola wines. There are tours of the Virginia Dare and Francis Ford Coppola Wineries such as the Bottling Ballet Mecanique Tasting for $20, Tasting in the Dark for $75, and Sonomabulistic Sonoma wine tour for $40. This winery has it all, and strives to give everyone a chance for fun.

The Coppola winery offers great reserve Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon that capture the essence of the Sonoma growing region. These are reserve wines created by winemaker Corey Beck just for the Sonoma location. The labels for these wines were created by a film production designer that Coppola met when he was filming the Godfather movies!
