Why Visit Frank Family Vineyards?

Calistoga, with its lush hills and pleasant weather, has been a resort for the wine-lover for decades, and the Frank Family Vineyards is one of the busiest and best of this city’s wineries. The Frank Family has bought space in the already storied Larkmead Winery on Larkmead Ln, and they set the pace for their surroundings. They make hand-crafted sparkling wines, pinots, ports and blends that win awards year after year.

The tasting room is particularly well-regarded and with a good reason. The yellow craftsman-style house is homely, with a brick fireplace and lovely concrete bar. To get to the room, you walk down a path with metal sculptures of children holding torches on either side and then enter a yellow room with polished hardwood floors. Here you will find a friendly staff eager to pour wines, some of which can only be found in their tasting room. If you would prefer to imbibe outside, a spacious picnic area is available in the shade of some charming trees. To add to the familial atmosphere, there is even a family dog that will visit you. It has been so popular for the last 7 years, that the only way to guarantee that you will get a tasting is to call ahead and make an appointment.

The staff will offer you two tasting experiences, both excellent: there is their simple Today’s Tasting, featuring just their elegant wines, and there is the Elevated Experience. The Elevated features cheese and charcuterie for Yountville’s famous Ottimo restaurant.
