About This Winery
+ More
This is a fun place to hang out and take in the beauty of the Alexander Valley — and not have to deal with all that winemaking business cluttering up your tasting experience.
The square, Mediterranean-style tasting room sits atop a knoll overlooking the "Red Ranch" vineyard and Alexander Valley. This vineyard is home to Hanna’s flagship Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. The wines are made at their nearby facility off Occidental Road, where they also have a tasting room.
A stunning wrap-around veranda provides a great place to relax, taste wine and enjoy the day. The architectural design of the facility is a treat in itself, with a towering interior and four walls of stunning glass windows.
Hanna Winery owns more than 600 acres of land, with approximately 250 acres planted to vines in the Russian River Valley, Alexander Valley, and its Bismark Ranch in the Mayacamas Mountains.
Christine Hanna, the eldest daughter, runs the daily operations, maintaining the familial connection. Under her guidance, the winery has evolved an estate philosophy that blends the viticultural diversity of the fruit cultivated in its four estate vineyards.
Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Pinot Noir, Zinfandel, Syrah, Malbec, Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc are produced, with many of the wines available only in the tasting room.
