Located in the heart of the Russian River Valley on Westside Road, just ten minutes south of the town of Healdsburg, the Landmark Vineyards Hop Kiln Estate captures the rich history of winegrowing in the region. The iconic location has grown wine grapes on the property since the late 1800’s and uses a preserved historical landmark, an old stone hop kiln building, as its Tasting Room.

 

The Landmark Vineyards Hop Kiln Estate offers indoor and outdoor tasting experiences, and expansive vineyard views in a historic setting. Limited-production Pinot Noir and Chardonnay off the estate and from surrounding vineyards are offered daily. A delicious array of local cheeses and charcuterie to complement your tasting are made available as a build-your-own picnic option for all guests.

Variety of wines to taste. Enjoyed their sav. blanc and pinot. Friendly staff that gave us tips on good places to eat. Great atmosphere with old pictures and a historic ambiance. Our favorite place of the day.

The best part of this place is the building. That isn't to say the wines and mustard variety do not speak for themselves. But, the building is magnificent. The wine is good and the mustards make this a perfect place to try!

It's a very cool building (re-purposed from beer-making as you can tell from the name). The tasting room is huge; there are lots of tables with lots of food samples (mustards, hot sauces, etc.) which is kind of fun but also kind of distracting from the wines. The day we went (summer weekend), it was extremely crowded. Though there is a pretty big tasting bar, we had to wait for a while to get a space, and felt kind of rushed to taste because of the crowd at the bar and the others waiting to taste. I think the staff tried, but there wasn't much personal attention here. The wines were not standouts, which I would expect for the prices. I would rather visit smaller producers in the area.
