Imagery Estate Winery

My husband and I stopped by this winery after going to Benziger before. We'd never heard of the winery, so were pleasantly surprised to find this gem tucked away in the hillside. The grounds were perfectly manicured and it looks like they were setting up a tent for some sort of formal function on the lawn. Inside the tasting room, there were quite a few gift items and wine related souvenirs. The tasting was very unique, and we had some great white French blends and even a red that was infused with blueberries! The bottles had beautiful labels created by renowned artists and everyone seemed to be intrigued by the unusual yet exciting wines they were pouring. Definitely not your average Chardonnay and Cabernet tasting.

Imagery is a very busy place; a "hip" location that is frequented by lots of educated ( wine knowledge) patrons. The tasting bar gets crowded in a hurry and the servers do a good job of keeping up and staying in tune with their particular customers.
They have a lot of very unusual varietals here, which may be part of the drawing card, or it may just be that the grounds are very nice with lots of amenities like picnic space, bocce and what appears to be a small music venue.
Known for its wine art collection, there is an emphasis on prints and artistic products in the gift shop which makes for a nice diversion while you wait for a spot to open at the tasting bar.
