What is it that makes JaM Cellars unique and approachable?
Well, there are wines that want to take you to a rarified place and talk about luxury vacations and other wines that want to take you to a fun party and relax. John and Michelle Truchards’ JaM Cellars produces the second type of wine. After years of making ultra-premium wines at John Anthony Vineyards, this second generation of vintners decided to make super-approachable wines and call them after those common breakfast items, Butter Chardonnay, JaM Cabernet Sauvignon, and Toast Sparkling. Fruity and rich, they use their own blend in oak casks to ferment their friendly wines and add quite a bit to your everyday fun.
Then there is their tasting room in downtown Napa, the quintessential modern hang out spot. Between the oriental rugs, glass table tops, disco ball and leather couches, it’s the perfect room to enjoy their weekly line up of activities. They host live music sessions, movie and music tribute nights, and a Sunday night bottomless Toast-mosa. Of course, all these events are accompanied by their luscious wines and a special selection of their friends’ wines. You can come for a glass, a bottle or a full flight as the night moves you. Friendly wines plus fun atmosphere makes this a great place to cap off your bar hopping in Napa, so check it out any time you’re in the neighborhood.
JaM Cellars owners are the drivers behind the popular music festival called Bottle Rock. This annual event is the perfect kick-off to summer. The three-day event pairs top notch musicians with Napa wine, food and beer. Getting tickets to the event isn’t easy, so make sure you make plans well in advance.
