About This Winery
+ More
Jeriko Estate is a grand affair with broad spaces, great lawns, a very hip tasting room and hand-crafted artisan wines made from 100 percent organically grown and certified grapes.
The dramatic tasting room has 12-foot-tall glass walls that look into the barrel room. The tasting room floor has a very trendy and attractive stained concrete design. There is plenty of room to roam around and places to explore. A picnic patio can be found by going out a side door.
In 1997, the ranch was planted with new rootstocks and newly available clones of Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Syrah, Merlot, Sauvignon Blanc, and Sangiovese. The vineyards were planted in a 6 x 6-foot high-density spacing in order to optimize terroir and intensify fruit flavors. Biodynamic and organic farming practices are used to promote plant diversity and encourage soil balance without the use of synthetic fertilizers, pesticides and fungicides.
In addition to their still wines, two sparkling wines are also produced, and have the distinction of being the nation’s first sparkling wines made from 100 percent organically grown grapes.
