Kidder Family Winery and Tasting Room is located in a recently converted Dutch-style barn near the quaint town of Lockeford in the Clements Hills sub-appellation of Lodi Wine Country.

Aaron and Linda Kidder invite you to visit and taste a flight of their wonderfully distinctive small lot wines. Bring a picnic, stay awhile, and enjoy a glass or bottle of their good life among the peaceful solitude of the lovely redwood grove that overlooks the winery, surrounding vineyards and nearby Sierra foothills.

As Aaron will tell you, “Our focus is on a strong sense of emerging contemporary tastes, particulary with respect to wines that impress you by their balance, clarity of fruit, crisp edges and food-friendly textures.”

Very small, family owned winery. Produces a few hundred cases of wine a year. Our host was Aaron, the winemaker. He has a wonderful Barbera with a bright garnet color with a is fruity, slightly acidic taste. The 2011 Old Vine Zin was also very nice, not as dark in color a many OV Zins, but has a fruity and somewhat warm. Other nice wines included the Estate Duet, a blend of Tempranillo and Graciano which was purple and spicy, and the Super Quartet which was super! We had a mini-tour of his mini-winery. It was fun to see how small wineries make their wine.
. You know you are there and he is open when you see the small table at the edge of the road with a tablecloth and a bottle of wine, which in Italy is a sign that the winery is open for tasting.
