Why should you visit Krupp Brothers for wine tasting?
If you drive just off Silverado Trail to the foot of the Vaca Mountains, you will find a winery that looks more like a manor in Tuscany than something in the Napa. The temperate climate and rocky soil make for fruity and complex wines such as their Black Bart’s Bride. But it isn’t just the wines that evoke the Tuscan countryside: the building takes the inspiration for their architecture from there. Stone facades and red tile roofs spread out over the quiet vineyard. A lake stands in the center, completing the bucolic feel of the Krupp Brothers winery and estate.
In order to experience this charming Tuscan-country inspired winery, you can call ahead and set up an appointment for a tour and tasting. This will even include a barrel sampling.
However, there is a more relaxed way to enjoy Krupp Brother’s wine. Head to downtown Napa and find their tasting room next to Oxbow Market. Here you will find a room elegantly appointed with high back chairs and black and white photos. You can sample their wine by the bottle or by the glass there, or try their signature tasting with little snacks.
