Small, comfortable tasting room. Nice selection of wines. We really liked the 2011 Yorkville Highlands Syrah. It was deep maroon purple with an aroma that was somewhat floral with blueberries. It was mildly acidic with some tannins. The flavor grew and developed into a nice, warm peppery finish. The 2011 High Ground Reserve Syrah had aromas of red fruit, and pepper. The flavor had nice fruit and the finish was peppery and citrusy.
If you like desert wine like I do, the Meyer Family Port is one of the best California ports I have ever tasted. Almost tawny in color, it was raisiny, sweet but no sticky sweet, with a very nice mouth feel and some chocolate in the finish.

I truly enjoyed my time spent on the Meyer Family Vineyard. It was a pleasant and warm environment that was inviting and open to people of all ages, as well as families. I was able to meet and converse with several different types of people, all drawn to Meyer for there love of wine and country feel. I myself am a man who loves Port and the first thing I did when I stepped was purchase a bottle of Old Vine Zinfandel Port and enjoyed a game of bocce ball. I left that day with several more bottles, so I guess you could say I loved the Port.
