About This Winery
+ More
The villa-style tasting room of Parducci is reminiscent of an underground wine cellar. Once inside the aged winery building, you step down into a grotto featuring an extensive gift shop and a tasting counter serving a wide range of easy-drinking, consumer-friendly wines.
John Parducci started his winery in 1932, and was the first vintner to locate in Mendocino County. The winery’s ownership has changed over the years, and in 2004 new proprietors, made up of longtime wine-industry professionals, purchased Parducci. They operate the business with the goal of creating wines using sustainable vineyard and winery practices. Parducci is the country’s first carbon nuetral winery. They incorporate solar power, wind energy and have converted company vehicles and farm equipment to biodiesel fuel.
The wines of Parducci are fruit-forward and affordable. The grapes come from their own organic vineyards and from over 30 growers in the area. The new packaging on some of their wines is designed to be fun, approachable and a bit irreverent. Check out their Tusk ’N Red, their Zig Zag Zin, or the Zinfandel-based Zingaro.
Their deli can prepare sandwiches and salads for you to enjoy on their outdoor cobblestone patio. The winery makes the white wines Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Grigio, Chardonnay, Bianco, White Zinfandel, and Muscat Canelli. Their reds include Pinot Noir, Zinfandel, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and their flagship Petite Sirah.
