Philo Ridge Vineyards is 100% Solar and wind Powered, we farm our vineyards utilizing Sustainable Farming Practices and our wines are Vegan.

The tasting room is located in downtown Boonvile and open from 11 am to 5 pm Friday to Monday. Philo Ridge Vineayrds is pet friendly.

They have a small tasting in the center of Boonville. We did not plan on visiting Philo Ridge since the wine guides (including CWA) indicate it is only open Friday to Monday. We were there on Thursday. Fortunately we stopped to eat lunch in Boonville and notice the tasting room was open.
They have a good selection of wine, the Marguerite Pinot Noir has a beautiful deep tawny garnet color; it is dry with a nice long warm finish. It is a bit pricey, but nice. We liked the 2012 Firebrick Vineyard Zinfandel. It was a deep maroon/red with a spicy/ peppery flavor and a very nice peppery finish. Our favorite was the Vino di Medocino, a blend of Zinfandel, Petite Sirah, Carignane, and Syrah. It was a deep red with a warm fruity red-berry flavor. A bargain at $20. They even have a Gewurtztraminer, one of my favorite wines and hard to find in California. It was not quite as spicy as the wines from Alsace, but I was very nice, warm and acidic with a pleasant finish.
