About This Winery
+ More
Home of the historic Alamo Pintado Adobe, Rideau Vineyards presents its Rhone, Spanish, German, Italian and Burgundy-style wines in a wonderfully restored Victorian adobe farmhouse.
The owner’s New Orleans roots permeate the eclectic public rooms. The rambling house has a reserve tasting parlor, fireplaces, a kitchen, patios and tasting bars filled with antique furniture, exquisite heirloom pill boxes, Mardi Gras beads, and plush oriental rugs. Bags of dried red-eye beans and other Creole food items are for sale.
The winery’s grounds are extensive, with towering ancient oak trees shading expansive lawns dotted with tables and chairs that provide visitors with abundant views. A wide range of wines are presented including Sauvignon Blanc, Riesling, Viognier, Tempranillo, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Syrah, Sangiovese and Rhone Blends.
