About This Winery
+ More
Robledo Family Winery is a small, tidy operation off the back roads of the Carneros District in Sonoma County. There they produce Merlot, Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Blanc, Chardonnay, Pinot Grigio, Muscat, port and their flagship wine: Sauvignon Blanc.
Here is your chance to visit a true example of the “American Dream,” as this winery and tasting room were established by a Mexican immigrant, a former vineyard worker. After decades of working, saving, and learning the craft, Reynaldo Robledo Sr. opened his winery in the late 1990s; it has grown to produce over 20,000 cases of wine annually. It is a family operation, with sons, daughters and spouses all involved in the vineyards, winery or business office in some way. Vanessa Robledo has been recognized as an important voice in the wine industry and was recently named "Entrepreneur of the Year" by Latina Style Magazine. (see story)
The tile-roofed, barn-like winery building houses the winemaking area and the tasting room. Inside there are handcrafted furnishings from the Robledo family’s home state of Michoacan, Mexico.
The wines are produced from three ranches in the Carneros region: Rancho Rincon, which is planted with ten acres of Pinot Noir grapes; Rancho Maria, with eight acres of Chardonnay and two acres of Merlot; and Rancho Emiliano, with ten acres of Merlot. There are picnic tables under umbrellas placed at the edge of the vineyard, providing westward views of the Carneros Foothills.
