About This Winery
+ More
The famed French Champagne house came to the Anderson Valley to expand their production and find a foothold in the California wine industry. By far the largest winery in the valley, Roederer makes a range of sparkling wines using traditional Pinot Noir and Chardonnay fruit.
The large brown barn-like structure sits on the east side of the Anderson Valley and does its best to blend into the countryside. The tasting room is set up a bit like an elegant living room, with tile floors, pendant lighting and couches. On the walls are artwork and White House menus that feature their wines. The long narrow room has views out to their gardens. No gifts or food are available, and there are no picnic sites.
In addition to their crisp Extra Dry, Brut, Brut Rose, and their special L’Ermitage sparkling wines, they also produce limited amounts of still Pinot Noir and Chardonnay from their extensive vineyards. VIP tastings can be arranged with a reservation.
