Shadow Mountain Vineyards and Winery is located on the east side of Mount Palomar on the Historic Butterfield Stage Route. The original vineyard, Old Gus Vineyard, was planted in 1943 and is still producing.
The tasting room, visitor center and picnic areas are open Wednesday through Sunday from 10am to 5pm and most Monday holidays.
