On top of a hill, northeast of Paso Robles, sits this elegant destination winery that has lots to do and see, and lots of good red wines to taste.
The hacienda style architecture and the old California backdrop create a wonderful playground for spending time in the wine country. With hundreds of acres of vineyards surrounding the site you have panoramic views in all directions. There are patios and lawns, horseshoes and Bocce ball, graveled walkways, tables and chairs and cozy two person swinging benches waiting to be discovered on the extensive property.
Inside features a sit-down bistro atmosphere, with a wood-burning fireplace, and elegant hacienda-style appointments. The wood beamed interior with high ceilings and tile floor makes for a very attractive tasting experience. The clientele is lively and the staff is friendly.
The production focuses on relatively small lots of specialty hand crafted wines including Bordeaux varietals, Syrah, Tempranillo, a Zinfandel Port and a number of blends. The wines are only available at the winery or through there wine club.
In their vineyard there plantings include, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Malbec, Garnacha, Petit Verdot, Tempranillo, and Zinfandel. The rest of their grapes are sourced from nearby properties.
