About This Winery
+ More
Steinbeck Vineyards & Winery is a new venture for our six-generation Paso Robles farm family. We specialize in the production of quality wines grown on land that have been in our family and farmed for six-generation– since 1884. Our 500 acre vineyard has been producing highly sought after fruit for many years by wineries such as JLohr, Justin, Eberle, San Antonio and Chronic.
Owners Howie & Bev Steinbeck and Cindy Steinbeck are producing limited quantities of Cabernet Sauvignon, Petite Sirah, Zinfandel and Viognier. As respected leaders in the local wine industry, the Steinbeck family is excellent stewards of the land and supporters of the Paso Robles Appellation.
Our tasting room is a rustic structure built on the foot print of a blacksmith shop originally built 90 years ago in 1921. The interior theme is rustic elegance with plenty of historic equipment and stuff hanging on the walls. There are plenty of stories here as well as some wonderful Zinfandel, Cabernet, Viognier, Petite Sirah and beautiful blends, The CRASH and VOICE.
The family offers CRASH COURSES – wine education classes via the vineyards. Your tour starts at the tasting room with Cindy’s fast paced overview of the uniqueness of Paso Robles as a wine region, the process of planting and growing a vineyard will have your mind racing with questions about the intricacies of the vineyards. You’ll board one of our vintage Jeeps for an exhilarating, bumpy ride through our expansive vineyard acreage to experience the roots of the wine.
Your tour concludes at the tasting room with a more few stories about the family’s six-generation roots in Paso Robles and wine tasting with the family.
