This storefront tasting room operation is run by the owner of the Singing Winemaker Winery, and serves as a tasting room for other local wineries. The operation is housed in a small beige house just off the main road behind a black metal gate. Outside there is a lawn with children’s play structures and some old winery equipment, with shade provided by California pepper trees.

Sample wines from Marr Cellars and The Singing Winemaker.

Inside the small converted house are stained glass windows and tall ceilings with period-era crown molding. There is a granite tasting bar, a wine-inspired mural, and a nice gift shop featuring wine accessories and gourmet food items.

In one corner of the room is a small stage area where the “Singing Winemaker” can be heard on most weekends. The mood is casual, fun and lively.

Small tasting room representing Marr and the Singing Wine Maker. Marr makes wonderful, moderately prices wines, including a terrific Mattern Ranch Zinfandel (only $23). The Singing Winemaker makes fun and fruity modestly priced ($14) sparkling wines. If you are lucky, the Singing Winemaker will be there when you visit and will serenade you while you taste.
Don't miss this if you go to Livermore.

I had the most genuine fun I recall having at a winery in a long time when I visited Red Skye. It is such a unique blend of several vineyards and I loved the variety. I was lucky enough to step inside on a weekend and catch the performance. If there is anything that I appreciate more than a good bottle of wine it is music, and this was the perfect blend of both. Try anything because it was all wonderful, but most of all enjoy yourself, it's hard not to.
