In 2005 Twisted Roots, the dream of Ross Schmiedt, came to life. After 30 plus years of growing great wine grapes for others, he decided to do it for himself. In late 2009 Ross was joined by his two new partners, Mike Hodge, and Josh Ruiz, and together they put their passion for great wine into every bottle of Twisted Roots Wine.
Twisted Roots produces Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Petite Sirah and Old Vine Zinfandel. Our 2010 Chardonnay recently won a Bronze ribbon in the 2011 Lodi Consumer Awards competition.
Annual production is approximately 500 to 700 cases. They have a "green grower" certified by the Lodi Wine Commission and they donate $1.00 for every bottle sold to the ALS Association to help fight Lou Gehrig’s disease.
