About This Winery
+ More
At the southern end of Sonoma’s Carneros region is the destination winery and marketplace of Viansa. Celebrating everything Italian, this 90-acre estate has it all — a classic Tuscan villa with abundant gardens, hilltop picnic sites, olive trees and vineyards, an Italian marketplace, an extensive deli and gift shop, regular tours, complimentary wine tasting, private patios, scenic views and event spaces.
Created by Sam and Vicki Sebastiani, Viansa was created as a way to share a love of good food, wine and Italian heritage. The winery is located on a hilltop overlooking a waterfowl preserve. With its hand-painted murals, massive beams and Italian marble, the villa exudes Tuscan charm. The extensive grounds are planted with Italian cypress, stone pines and over 1,000 olive trees.
The wines produced include the well-known Italian grapes such as Sangiovese and Pinot Grigio, along with lesser-known varieties such as Arneis, Aleatico, and Primitivo. Also available are California varietals including Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Merlot, and Cabernet Franc.
Grapes used are from their estate as well as sourced from other Sonoma Valley and North Coast growers. The winery is also known for its blends, such as their Super Tuscan Blend, Sempre Avanti, a mix of North Coast Sangiovese, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc.
